Frequently asked questions

Before you get started.

Clear answers about the service, scope, and booking process.

Does my child need a diagnosis?

No diagnosis is required to use Connect & Grow services. Support is based on your child’s current needs and your family’s concerns. A formal diagnosis can still be important for accessing specialized services, school accommodations, funding, or other supports. Families may also be encouraged to pursue an assessment when it could be helpful.

Is this therapy?

No. Services include parent coaching, family education, practical strategies, play-based support, and creative activities. They do not include psychotherapy, diagnosis, psychological assessment, art therapy, or play therapy.

Can I book a paid session immediately?

No. All new clients begin with either a free introductory call or a free website chat. This gives us a chance to discuss what you are looking for, clarify the scope of the service, and decide whether working together feels appropriate before a paid video session or home visit is booked.

Will you judge my home or parenting?

No. A home visit is collaborative and supportive. The initial visit may last up to 90 minutes because it includes time with the parent or caregiver, observation where appropriate, and planning. Your child is not expected to participate for the entire visit.

Can you help with school or daycare concerns?

Support can include helping you organize concerns, prepare questions, and plan conversations with educators or other professionals.

What languages are available?

Services are available in English, German, and French.
